John Mix visit

John Mix ( Brett's Uncle) was in town from Madison Wisconsin this week, for a confrence in Corte Madera in the North bay. He came Sat. evening and we got a chance to go to a farmer's market in Menlo Park and hang out on Sunday- it was great to see him and Linden could not get enough of him. Can't wait for him to come back and visit soon!

We went to Palo Alto for dinner on Friday and just happened upon Hamilton Street- had to get a photo of the Hamilton's on Hamilton!

A little taste of summer

We had a picnic in the park on Friday with the babes. It was a great day, with highs in the 80's! As you can see, the babes loved it- they were all smiles after we lubed them up with sunscreen.

baby clothes or art?

All the wonderful outfits we get to dress Linden up in are starting to take shape and form. This wonderful little ensamble was given to us by Nana- it's Hanna Anderson. Looks like art on Linden. This baby is going to be at New York fashion week in no time! What little girl doesn't love a ruffel-filled booty?

Linden turns 8 months

if you look very closely, you can see linden's 2 teeth on the bottom coming in. she's been really great lately, playing peek-a-boo, searching for things and attempting nightly to crawl. she's more beautiful everyday!

The Stanford Dish trail

Linden and I went for a new trail walk in Stanford- it's properly named "the dish" for the GIANT satelite dish about half way up the 3.5 mile trail. It was a very senic route- we could see San Fran to the North and San Jose to the South with some cows in between! It was fun and we are enjoying finding new things to do in our new neighborhood. I am sure it will be a regular hike for us.

Dinner with the Wisconsinites!

We hosted dinner at our place for our friends from Wisconsin- The Pearlson's, Pederson's and Hase's. Even baby Nate made an apperance at 8 weeks! It was so special to Brett and I to have great friends with a wonderful meal at our new place- reminds me of our dinner parties back in Chicago!
Maribeth planned a great red snapper with Jicima slaw and rice fritters! The ladies went to Drager's ( a local market in Menlo Park) and then headed home and we all helped MB pull off another really good meal. Bruno made a new friend in Mark!
The next time we get together Baby Pederson will be here!!!!

5 years!

It was our 5 year wedding anniversary on Friday- we had a babysitter and went out to this really swanky place in San Carlos, called Town. Kara even called ahead and bought our first round of drinks- that was really cool! Also, Nana and Grandpa Salerno sent us the most BEAUTIFUL arrangement of tulips! Thanks so much! We had a really great anniversary.

Playdate at our new place!

The Mom's came up to our place on Friday for our weekly group meeting. It was so nice to have friends and babes in our home! Thanks for coming everyone- it was fun!

Brett goes GREEN

Brett mowing our new lawn for the first time! He decided to go GREEN and save the environment with a push reel mower. It was pretty fun watching him cut grass for the first time!

We have been blessed with some wonderful neighbors in San Jose- The Webb's. Ann has been like a second Mother to Bruno- she loves him just as much ( if not more) as we do. Bruno has been a little freaked out about all the moving boxes that are out, so Ann has been taking care of him at their place, so he feels a little better. When we came home today- she had left a great Easter basket for Linden! Linden fell in love with the bunny- as you can see!
They have watched Bruno and Linden time and time again- and we are going to miss having them right next door! We hope to still have wonderful times with the Webb's, when we come down for yoga and drop Bruno and Linden off at their place!!!!

Our 1st Easter Egg Hunt

We went to our first easter egg hunt in Cat's neighborhood on Saturday. Linden got to pick up eggs and put them in her Easter basket-. She loved the noise the eggs made when she shook them! We had a picnic and a great time with Cat, Rob and "little man Jake". It was a beautiful day and made us think about last Easter- when we found out that it was a girl! How time flies!
Linden was a little bigger than her basket, but not by much! Happy Easter from Linden!

Cousin Sally

Sally was in town last Saturday with Aunt Heidi for a high school girl's choir competition in Los Altos. Laura had a chance to stop by and see Sally sing- it was great to see them! Way to go Sally!

here are a few pics from our playgroupp on friday- it's been so nice to have made friends with such wonderful girls and their cutie babies! linden has a bff- avery! that's them looking so smug together! also- note the bows on all the babies heads! thanks whit for the hours of entertainment with these pics- we'll be sure to bribe "the 2 jakes" when they are older with the photographic evidence! it was one of the past few days where it's been pretty warm outside- linden likes to sport her thighs in her dress!
