Daddy's in Australia and Linden and Mommy are living it up!

On the "Old Tom" 1920's Firetruck- for a ride!

Grace, Gigi and Kim on the firetruck.

The band at the BBQ- we know how to do it in style!

Donut on a string contest

Doing her Brittney Spears impression
Just minutes before the, "I need to POOP!"

Brett is in Sydney for work and Linden and I are up to no good. We went to Miss Lisa's in the morning and then the Willow's neighborhood BBQ in the afternoon. Very busy schedule her and I! The bbq was fun until Linden screamed, "I need to poop!" Thankfully I had brought our little portable potty with us in the wagon. I sat her down on the sidewalk in her potty and she sure enough- took the BIGGEST poop ever known to a 2 year old little girl. Since she has never pooped in the "portable" potty, I had no idea what to do! So, I got a napkin and scooped the poop out of the potty and placed it, very dimurely, in the bushes of my neighbor- all the while being very careful no other Mommys could see what I was doing. Sorry to my neighbor who is probably still wondering, "what is that smell?"
Daddy would have been proud of the poop- the size that is.

Cisco Telepresence

We had an afternoon chat with GAD, Grammy and Tom via Brett"s Cisco teleprences at work. It was sooo cool- Linden was a little confused why they were in the TV, but warmed up after about 10 minutes...she even got to give Grammy Jan a high-five! The virtual hugs and kisses were awesome!
It was great to see them! Thanks for playing along guys!

I haveen trying to scout locations for clients Christmas card photos and we came across this walnut orchard in Ardenwood- now I really want to research beautiful orchards in the area! Love it! Also, I have been working on a new website for my children/family portraits- I will keep you posted when it's up!!

Ardenwood Historical Farm

We went to Ardenwood, a historical working farm in Newark. We got to see the goats, chickens, turkeys, sheep, bunnies and horses. It was fun to see Linden having a good time. We hung out and grabbed lunch- linden wanted to take the bunnies home with her!

Sunday Streets in San Fran

making friends at the parachute

like father, like daughter

Could she be more excited????

The City has this thing called "Sunday Streets" where they close the Embarcadero, near the water, and have a bunch of activities for the family. We went on Sunday and Linden had her 1st snow cone! It was fun o walk around and see everyone running, biking, walking the Embarcadero.

A fellow mom Blogger

So, as a Mom who LOVES to blog, this story is so special to me and I needed to share it with you. I have never met Stephanie, but admire all the hard work she must have put into raising 4 small children and finding the fun in it everyday! Such an inspiration for all Moms!
Tradegy has struck this beautiful family. In mid-August the couple was in a small aircraft plane crash where the flight instructor died and Stephanie and Christian are left in the Intensive Care Burn Unit in a hospital in AZ. I have not stopped thinking about this family since I heard their heartfelt story, on a fellow bloggers page. We are oddly connected with strangers via the internet and I find the prayers and outreach amazing!

I am so grateful for everyday I have with Linden and Brett.

Here's the video link to see the story on the today show.

Here's a clip to see the full story:

First Day of school

Linden headed off to her first day of "school" this morning! We got her a horsie lunchbox and she was allready to go with the backpack the Johnson's gave her for her birthday. She looked awfully cute on her way to school! We're looking forward to picking her up and see what she did all day!

The rest of the pics from Mammoth

In Yosemite, eating lunch-we've NEVER seen ants that BIG!

Gives new meaning to "porta-potty"

Creek walking with Daddy, just outside the park

The bear we saw- crossing the road- it's pretty cool- they have signs there that say "Speeding KILLS bears"

Wearing her goggles at the pool with Daddy- I think she looks like a mad scientist!

On the Gondola

Altitude makes her sleepy!

Across from our hotel was a little Village square- they had movies under the stars- it happened to be her fav, "Finding Nemo", so we stayed up late to watch the movie outside- what a treat!

Horseshoe Lake

I wasn't the Baraboo, WI rock champ for nothing!

Sleeping on the Westin "Heavenly Bed"- Linden loved it too!

At the lake for a dip!

"Again, Again!"

There was a band in the square the next couple of nights- Linden was their "groupie"- she keep saying, "I want to see the guitar man"

Potty-time in the back of the car!

It was so beautiful and amazing in Mammoth and Yosemite is a sight to be seen- it's only 2 hours from our house and it's so cool. We had a wonderful time and it makes me grateful to have time with just the three of us. Our lives are always in such a hurry- it's important to take some time off and slow down to enjoy it.
